Volunteer

GSS's internship and volunteer program provide an opportunity for interested individuals to gain insight into its various verticals namely; Livelihood Enhancement, Natural Resource Management and Human & Institutional Development. This allows the volunteers to understand the Indian rural landscape in greater depth and also gives them an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of the lesser privileged section of the society. Volunteers bring with them an unbiased and outside perspective and thus often provide GSS with new outlook to resolve situations. We have well managed volunteer service unit which provides facilities like accommodation and transportation for volunteers. Volunteers can work with us in the office or do hands-on field-work depending upon the interests and abilities they possess and the opportunities available.

Shikhshalaya...An initiative for the education of marginalized children For an emerging country like India, development and aid of marginalized children holds the key to progress of the nation. In tribal dominated areas of Southern Rajasthan, there are a number of villages where not even the basic facilities of primary education are accessible to the children. The extent of backwardness of these villages and the gravity of the situation can be understood by the fact that the local community witnessed its first ever flag hoisting program after 60 years of independence due to our Jan Jagran Campaign.

Shikshalaya is an innovative initiative of GSS through which we are not only providing primary education but also facilitating overall development of targeted villages with little or no physical and social access. We request your support for these underprivileged children so that they too can achieve what every one hopes for, a better life. You can support our initiative in following manner :-
